In a charity shop every item has its own price. A donated jacket, a cup, a book. The amount is typed in at the counter, and the customer taps a card or MobilePay. Most purchases are small, and contactless payment keeps the queue short. The till shows the amount on both screens, so the customer sees exactly what is charged before the card touches the terminal.
The money goes to a good cause
The shop’s surplus should go to your cause, not to hidden fees. There is 0 kr. setup and no surprises on the statement. The day’s sales land in the charity’s account the next banking day, not as one lump once a week. So the treasurer always knows where the money is, and how much has come in for the cause.

Is the till easy for volunteers to learn?
Yes. The POS is built to be simple. A new volunteer can take card and MobilePay payments after a few minutes, with no long training.
Can customers pay with MobilePay?
Yes. The POS and card terminal take MobilePay, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The customer taps or scans, and the rest happens automatically.
Is there a minimum or fixed fees?
There is no minimum and no setup fee. The terminal costs 0 kr. a month, and a till has a fixed monthly price, 250 kr. lower with SEJR Samlet.
What does a POS system for a charity shop cost?
The terminal costs 0 kr. to set up and 0 kr. in subscription, and a till costs from 0 kr. a month, because the first SEJR Kasse Mini is free with at least 1 million kr. in annual card turnover. For a new business, your own estimate counts. The other tills cost from 149 kr. a month with SEJR Samlet, where you take card payments with SEJR and have a SEJR Konto, or from 399 kr. a month on its own. There is no monthly minimum. You pay one rate on card turnover: 1,19 % at 1–2 mio. kr. a year, 0,99 % at 2–5 mio. kr., 0,89 % at 5–10 mio. kr. and a tailored price above 10 mio. kr., plus interchange and the scheme fee at cost. Can I type in a price for each item?
Yes. In the till the volunteer types the amount for each item before the customer pays. That suits a charity shop, where prices change from thing to thing and donated goods carry no fixed barcodes.
What if a new volunteer is alone at the counter?
Then the till is simple enough that she manages it on her first shift. If something does play up, Danish support is there on weekdays 9–17.
Can several volunteers use the till without sharing one code?
Yes. Each volunteer can have their own PIN and their own role, so you can see who sold what without anyone needing access to reports or settings. It also shortens the training, because each person only sees what they need.
What do we do about items with no barcode?
You can key the price in directly, or set fixed buttons for the prices the shop uses most, for example 10, 20 and 50 kr. The till does not need an item number on every single thing to produce a receipt and reconcile the day.
Can we take cards at a flea market outside the shop?
Yes. The mobile POS and terminal run on 4G and Wi-Fi with battery for the whole day, so you can take cards and MobilePay at flea markets, sales and stands. SEJR Mobilkasse costs 149 kr. a month with SEJR Samlet or 399 kr. a month on its own.
When does the money reach the charity’s account?
The day’s sales land in the account the next banking day, not as one lump once a week. So the treasurer can follow what has come in, day by day.
