What is SEJR, and what is SEJR Pay?

SEJR is the group name. SEJR Pay is the first product: card acquiring, payment terminal, online checkout and POS system. Account, Card and Credit follow once our payment-institution licence from Finanstilsynet lands.

Is SEJR a bank?

No. SEJR Pay runs today on an acquiring agreement with our acquiring partner. SEJR Account, Card and Credit are payment-institution products that open gradually once our application with Finanstilsynet goes through. We launch nothing before the licence is in place.

Who is behind SEJR?

SEJR Group A/S (CVR 46202465) is the parent company. The operating company is Sejr Pay ApS (CVR 44090880), which handles SEJR Pay agreements today. Both are Danish-owned and located at Hovedvejen 107, 3., 2600 Glostrup.

Why should I choose SEJR over one of the big providers?

Because you get a Danish advisor, honest prices and products built together from the start. We don't promise "the cheapest". We promise the most readable agreement and the best reconciliation with your till.

How quickly can I get started?

Typically 3-5 days from signing to your first live transaction. The timeframe depends on identity checks and the card schemes' approval. See our guide on switching acquirer for details.

Can you match my current price?

Usually yes. Send us your latest statement (photo or PDF), and we'll read it through and tell you exactly what you'd pay with us. No guesswork.

Which cards do you support?

The physical terminal and online checkout support Visa, Mastercard, MobilePay, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

What does the fee structure look like?

You see the card network's fee and our margin separately, not as one combined "fee". No hidden "processing fees". No monthly minimum.

What if I'm in an industry you don't support?

Then we say so in the first conversation. We're open about which industries we're not the right partner for (e.g. high-risk industries, certain gambling and adult products). Better to know it on day 1 than on day 30.

How does payout work?

Next business day to your chosen business account. When SEJR Account lands, the transaction ends up directly in your SEJR Account with automatic reconciliation.

When does SEJR Account open?

When our payment-institution licence from Finanstilsynet lands. We don't announce a date, because Finanstilsynet's processing time is outside our control. Join the waitlist to be first in line.

Is SEJR Account a real bank account?

SEJR Account is a payment account regulated under PSD2 / the Danish Payments Act. That means a real IBAN, SEPA transfers, Betalingsservice and MitID Erhverv integration, but it is not deposit-guarantee protected like a bank account. Balances are held separately with a regulated partner.

What's the difference between SEJR Card and an ordinary company card?

SEJR Card is issued against the balance on your SEJR Account. That means no separate settlement lists, no "last Tuesday of the month" shock and no separate credit line to negotiate. The card is issued via Visa or Mastercard.

What is SEJR Credit based on?

On your actual transaction history through SEJR Pay. We see your transactions in real time, so we can offer an overdraft on your SEJR Account or a merchant cash advance based on your card volume, not a spreadsheet from last quarter.

Why should I join the waitlist now?

Data & security

Where is my data stored?

All personal and business data is stored primarily in Denmark, otherwise in the EU, in accordance with GDPR. Card data is never stored at SEJR. It is handled by our PCI-DSS Level 1 partners.

What do you do if there's a breach?

We follow the GDPR requirement of 72-hour notification to the Danish Data Protection Agency and affected customers. We publish a transparent report on the incident. No hidden breaches.

Do you share my business data with third parties?

No. Your numbers, your revenue and your agreement are not shared with third parties beyond the specific acquirers and card networks needed to settle the payment itself. NDA on request.

How do I contact support?

Call +45 70 60 30 86 weekdays 9–17, or write to hej@sejr.com. You get a Danish-speaking advisor, not a script and not a chatbot.

Do you offer weekend support?

Not yet. For critical issues outside opening hours, your transactions run through our acquiring partners' 24/7 operations, so your shop keeps running. Contact us on Monday for follow-up.

How do I cancel my agreement?

Send an email to hej@sejr.com or call. No forms, no waiting in menus. The notice period is stated in your agreement; typically the current month plus 30 days.
