Create a category
Here you learn how to create a new category in SEJR POS.

A category is a tab on the till that gathers your products, e.g. Drinks or Coffee & cake.
Step by step
Tick a step when it is done
Button names are written as they appear on a till set to Danish. The brackets give the name on a till set to English, the first time a button is mentioned. Change the till's language
- Tap Admin at the top right of the till.
- Enter your 4-digit admin PIN.
- Choose Kategorier (Categories) in the menu on the left.
- Tap + Ny kategori (+ New category).
- Enter the category's name in the Navn (Name) field. The name is shown on the tab on the till.
- Choose a colour in the Farve i POS (Color in POS) field. The products in the category get this colour. The field is optional.
- Tap Gem (Save).
Good to know
- The category is shown on the till as soon as there is at least one product in it. Create products in the category with the guide Create a product.
- Products: Tap Produkter (Products) next to the category to add products you already have.
- Modifiers: Tap + Tilpasninger (Modifiers) next to the category to give all products in the category the same add-ons.
- Sort order: Use the arrows in the Prio (priority) column to move the category. Then tap Gem rækkefølge (Save order).
Finishing up
Your category is now created.
You can always change the name or colour. Tap the pencil icon next to the category under Admin → Kategorier.
Can you not see the category on the till? Check that there is at least one active product in it. Then tap Genindlæs (Reload) at the top of the till.
